Welcome to the Fort Lewis Amateur Radio Activity (FLARA) Home Page.
The Fort Lewis Amateur Radio Activity is US Army sponsored by DPCA and is
located in Building 830 (the Air Force MARS building) on McChord Air Force
Base, Washington. It is used by active duty and retired military, DoD
civilians and other bona fide Hams.
W2USA is a non-profit organization and is used by the membership for the
enhancement of the radio art. W2USA was moved from Fort Dix, New Jersey in March 1989 by Robert Godlewski,
KA4SBE. In September, 2001, W2USA had to move from Building 3E90 as it was to be
torn down. In August 2002, W2USA was graciously offered space in Building 830
on McChord AFB.
W2USA is conducting VE testing on
the second Thursday of each month.
We will meet at the main gate between 7:00 - 7:15 PM,
get you signed in, and then convoy up to the club house.
